I occasionally use Meguier's Mirror Glaze Swirl Remover on the tank. Does a great job of removing minor surface scratches and giving it a like new look. It's mildy abrasive so I use it only a couple times a season.
Martin Guitar Polish also works great for cleaning and polishing the tank.
