Thanks guys.

cancer is an odd thing to talk about. in our instance it sounds much worse than it actually is. its like an oxmoron disease - whilst the cancer is thriving donna didn't feel ill at all. but once you start treatment to get rid of it your hair falls out, your immune system takes a kicking etc and once its finally gone you feel like death warmed up... Fortunately for us, donna wasn't ill from the treatments (so far fingers crossed) she just got more tired. her hair fell out, (you get a free with curtisy of the NHS) but she wore her wig once, felt so self concious she never bothered wearing it again. her thought was that she wasn't embarrassed about having no hair, if other people were or stared at her then they could just f*ck off. We very quickly considered her cancer to be a mere inconvenience and nothing more. in times like this its your attitude to life that determines how you will cope. if you let it get on top of you or defeat you then you will suffer for a long time.

As for the the yearning for the bike... well, consider it to be my personal outlet.
