Although I do like the Dart Screen (and intend to use one on another bike), I do not think you can beat Triumph's Summer Screen for the Thunderbird. You should still be able to get this from your Triumph dealer (see

I don't think the photos do it justice, and to me the Thunderbird still looks 'naked' with it fitted.
Triumph also did a "Winter Screen", many years ago, which was identicle to the Summer Screen, but with a taller top, and used the same mounting kit. To swap this over was a two minute (four screw) straight swap, and was great for the winter commute. I have seen a couple on the UK Ebay, occassionally, and it gives an extra 6" approx height, as well as retaining the lower cover.
