And perspex/Plexiglass is an acrylic resin. Lexan is amazing stuff! you can literally fold a piece of room temperature 3mm lexan and fold it in half by standing on it. Perspex will fracture under that kind of stress. I would use 5mm Lexan if I was building my own windscreen.
