There's a number of different approaches.

My favorite, is to take a very small flat blade screwdriver and cover it with electrical tape. Then find a wee gap between the muffler and end-cone. insert the scredrive blade and twist ever so carefully, to pry the cap away from the mega-phone. The end-cap will start to seperate from the megaphone. do this a couple of places and you can then twist it out by hand.

another option is to insert a hammer handle inside the baffle and use it to pull the end cap out.

Maybe even a slide hammer or something to hook the baffle from the inside and pull.

I've 25,000 miles and 4 or 5 re-packs on mine now and the little screwdriver trick hasn't failed me or scratched anything yet
