I'm mechanically challenged so detailing is the only thing i'm really good at right now. I've got a Haynes on the way so I can start learning the basics but I ride every day year round cuz i'm a new england transplant living in Florida and it's never too cold to ride so a well ridden bike does not have to mean a dirty bike. 15,000 miles in 14 months and the Scrambler still looks as shiny and beautiful as the day I picked her up and always will. My Friday night ritual is a cold six pack and a bath for my baby with a full waxing and detailing job at least one Saturday per month. I'm still struck by how absolutely beautiful she is every day when I leave work. Last Friday I did a double take because there was a gorgeous Rocket III parked right next to her and Triumphs are few and far between round these parts. I smiled to myself thinking how that will be my baby's big sister in a few years.
