Daytona Super III Wanted
Hello RAT readers,
I've digested just about everything there is to digest on these pages over the last couple of weeks about 90's Daytonas with an eye to finally buying a Super III. I toyed with the idea of getting a 1200se for a while, but feel the running costs would be too high for me to comfortably handle, especially with fuel prices rising like they are at the moment. I've read all the posts I can find about Super IIIs and know there are a couple to be had in the UK right now, including what's likely to be a breaker, but they seem to be a bit scabby and over-priced and likely to be in need of a major engine sevice looking at their mileages, but there must be some around in decent order that folks want to sell. I don't feel that increasing age means that bikes should necessarily be rough; the '91 VFR I've had for the last 6 years has 44k on the clock and looks a treat. So I'd like to find something tidy that has been properly serviced (even if that was by a home mechanic - as that's what I do too) where a tatty condition isn't being blamed simply on the bike getting on a bit. Any help would be gratefully received. The sooner I get get aboard British wheels the better.
