Oh deer, is the rear brake resevior union suitable for the front

Not been on here for some time (have instead been riding through Europe, Turkey, Iran and into the Gulf on my VFR -see www.prexpressions.com/rtw if you are bored). Anyway on my trip I never rode in the dark but back in the UK for a short while I stayed late on night at work. Riding back to Ducklington, Oxon on my lovely Thruxton I say two eyes and ears in the hedge ahead of me and next second they are in the road and bang I've hit them and go down.

Well amzingly I got away with a bruised shoulder only and the Thruxton has a few scrapes and even the deer ran off - not bad for 40mph.

Question: The black plastic union that connects the front master cylinder to the brake fluid resevoir got destroyed. It is £93+vat for a new front maaster cylinder (which includes the union). It is £9+vat for the rear union.

Does any one know if they are interchangable? Or does any one have a busted master cylinder from which I could salavage the union. Happy to pay a few bob
