Fun with chain rub strip and clutch cable...

well it's finally on. had to get a new rear tyre so ideal time to get the new rub strip in and it's no exaggeration- a day of spitting swearing plently of grease and a rubber mallet. but it's now done!!! plus a hefty wad of cash saved on taking it into the shop.
the old one was a 'new' type- the harder strip so it was a cut out job to remove.

next on the list is replacing/rerouting the clutch cable which is wearing. i'm getting wear on the part of the sleeve that rubs on the retaining bracket.

anyone know off hand what a new stock cable goes for? if i remember the venhill cables were around £25 plus they eliminate the elbow.
