Well, the bike still runs poorly on hard throttle and deceleration.

I found a page on forced adaption in the service manual. It is my understanding that if the conditions specifed there are all met, the bike will adapt the lamda fuel trim on its own. I did the procedure 4 times this afternoon and when I get another chance to test, will update.

On the short ride home, it seemed ok...a little less rough and the exhaust smelled pretty rich compared to before. I do not want emotions or desire to cloud my judgement so I will ride it again in the next few days to note any changes.

I did today, switch to 89 octane instead of 93 and will try 87 octane next. What are the octane requirements for this bike?
