I take back my 01 comment. I thought I read somewhere that that wasn't a preferred route.
But.... the 02 tune will help the general running condition of the 2000, but it won't make it a snappy throttle responder. They're not cammed to respond real well under 4-5k. I'm sure someone might disagree but I think that's accurate for all of them.
I was excited because it made my bike able to run well before a full warmup which was really an issue with the 00 tune that was in it. For the record, my original tune was the 10089 (aftermarket exhaust) and the cold running was quite poor.
I first put the 10115 tune in (for the 2002+ models) and it was like someone flipped a switch. Really neat.
I'm sure some customization could mean more power, but it works pretty well.
