Iv'e just done a 12k service on my 05 955 and used Silkolene Comp 4. This is fully synthetic and a 10/40 SAE. It also says its Electrosynthetic, whatever that is. The report I have read and what I have been told its very very good. I should be as it was £ 28 for 4 Litres.
I also changed the fork oil to 15 W. Did not change the standard springs as others have. It has stfffened up the front and reduced the fork dive under braking. It also seems to be more stable through the bends on eneven or bumpy surfaces.
