Any synthetic is capable of running to 10K. There still seems to be more urban myths about oil (particularly "motorcycle" oil) than Bigfoot. Some synthetics are marginally better than others, but test data continues to show that synthetics maintain viscosity longer than dino oils. Use what you like. but the biggest factor is a quality filter. There are definitely performance differences between filter manufacturers.
