Generally in the 30's and 40's at night, in May, Eastern WA, Idaho, Montana. Be prepared for worse, particularly if you're camping at higher elevations. We're in the 40's tonight in central Washington, but a few days ago it was easily 10 degrees cooler. Windy too tonight.

Weather.com has some good info you might find useful. Punch in the cities you'll be traveling through along your route and get some weather/climate info.

I camp year round in Washington with an old down bag, a backpacker's pad, and a small tent. Snow, no snow, whatever. I just like to camp. There's some tricks to staying warm. One thing though, sometimes after a long day a chill can set in, that's hard to shake just by hopping in the ol' sleeping bag. A good hot meal is a big help then. And don't hesitate to toss one of those little chemical handwarmers inside your sleeping bag either.

Regards, Guy
