Not sure about the D650, but I just swapped a D600 into a TT600, and overall besides getting the bolt holes to line up, wiring is going to be your only thing to worry about. Possibly the return style fuel injection, but nothing you can't figure out after a couple beers.

You'll want to check out the bore/stroke of the 600 vs the 650. Most likely they have different style pistons with different cutouts for valves and different clearances, so you'll want to check for interference first. Then you'd have to do a custom tune on the ECU, and overall sounds like it would be way too much work just to avoid running a couple wires, plus losing power.

I'll let you know how it goes with the d600 wiring in a TT tomorrow. I'm not gonna use any fairings, mostly because i like the way it looks but also because I'm just that cheap, so I'm gonna try to hide the wires as best as possible.
