Hey-lots of shops or even some rallys have dyno runs for cheap-they use the portable DynoJet sometimes. I ran my modded Speedy on one in a trailer and pulled 170mph (the bike was geared way low and had TuneBoy rpm raised up +500-there is no way this bike would ever go this fast!) and 123.1 RWHP with no rpm or Torque figures-they- do not have to hook up all the leads to do this quickie mode but do provide the A/F mixture throughout the run. Valuable tool actually for cheap. I ran my modded Bonnie T100 also and it pulled 65.8 RWHP which is about what I was figureing. It was fairly lean and the operator said to put some fatter mains in it-I did and was very pleased with the result. The Speedy went home and got its mixture readjusted via the TuneBoy -it runs very well now.
Both bikes were just a bit off on the mixture. Good to know and fix w/o spending a great deal of money.
Since thiose runs I have changed the exhaust to a Zard on the Triple and put Keihin 39 FCR racing carbs on the T100. I suppose I need to revisit a dyno, but the bikes are running very well!!
These runs are not total waste IMHO-they can work for you.
