Oil change and the owner's manual

I'm sure you veteran Rocketeers already know this so this post is aimed more for those who may be new to the bike or new to doing it yourself.

Okay so... after my weekend of riding and being up to 640 miles I changed my oil and filter last night. The manual that gave the step-by-step instructions guided me well but included this note:

"It may take up to 1.5 liters to top off after an oil/filter change."

I remember reading that the oil capacity was 1.5 gallons and figured I must have misread that. Well on further reading, in the specifications section there it was, a dry fil was indeed 1.5 gallons. I'm glad I checked that otherwise I'd have been riding with too little oil on my brand new ride. Whew!

Just thought this would be useful information for those who weren't familiar.

Cheers!
Karl
