Pinballer, The Cali emissions units seem to have shown up everywhere for some reason. The way you describe your D955i's performance is similar to when I reinstalled my OEM can after having 10181 installed for my TOR can...curious minds and all that.
The ECU may still have the base tune on an attached label...it's too faded on the '02 here to read. Non SAIS base tune is 10128 and the 10152 looks to be simply a patch for the speedo diagnostic. (My '04 has 10128 on it's label, but 10152 had been installed by the dealer before I bought it.)
Some cans don't always require a TOR tune (2bros comes to mind), but the 10179 tune seems to cross the bridge well with aftermarket cans and OEM ones.
