Need your feedback: Highway pegs/forward control brackets-black or chrome?

Great News!

I have designed a set of all steel bolt-on brackets for our Hinckley Classics (Thunderbird, Thunderbird Sport, Legend and Adventurer), which create a mounting platform for either highway pegs or forward controls. I have a prototype right now and am working out the fine points. Once the design is complete I plan on making a run of about 10 sets (more if demand requires) to see how the initial sales goes on whether or not to continue making more.

My target price for the brackets, mounting hardware and instructions is far less than the current alternatives on the market (all the ones I have seen are well over $200 for non-chrome finish). You will have to provide your own foot pegs -just like everyone else's design.

The options for finishes are: bare metal-unfinished ($99 a set) powder coated gloss black (around $130-150 a set) or chrome (around $ 175-195 a set). These are just my target prices, if I can get the coating prices down, the prices will adjust accordingly. I am not trying to get rich- just break even on what I have spent and cover my time making them-each bracket is hand made and requires a considerable amount of time to make.

If I could keep the prices in this ballpark- how many people would be interested?

I will post pics of the finished product in a few weeks (about to start finals this week-time is a premium right now).

Buyers will be responsible for shipping costs (yes, I will ship overseas).

Let me know what you think.
