Hiya

I had the same problem with my S3. Turned out to be the oil sensor itself.

Try earthing the wire to the sensor with the ignition on - the light should come on then.

In case you're not sure where it is, it kinda looks like a spark plug thingy going into the crankcase behind the middle cylinder.
