Hi,
Yes, the heavy duty sprag is an OEM update done in the late 90s. I don't know the exact year. Triumph were honoring parts at no charge untill 2 or 3 years ago. Replacing it requires engine removal and case splitting. My 95 Trident had just had it done when I bought the bike with 35,000 miles on it. If you buy the bike also check the valves. The valves tighten up causing them to be cooked by blowpast, leading to one of them dropping and destroying the engine.
