Check the new product suggestions in this site and if adding a Tach to 08 isn't amongst the list, please add. Don't hold your breath.
IMHO, they got it right with the dual headlights and tach and followed the pack in a wrong direction. On the other hand, if going with a smaller front wheel will improve low speed handling then might consider a smaller wheel in the future.
Guess sport bikes = Tach but a Touring Bike doesn't. If it sells more bikes then my opinion doesn't matter.
