I'm sure someone will give a better explanation, but it's not due to bad tuning. The AI system does contribute, although my AI has been disconnected since day 1 and I've got lots of blueing. Tha Americas and Speedmasters don't show it so much, because they have double-walled pipes up to the exhaust ports. I believe any chromed pipe will blue due to the exhaust heat, which is why so many aftermarket pipes are double-walled or heat-shielded.

Embrace the blueing, man - it's part of the soul that makes Triumph cooler than the others.

Now, will one of you rocket surgeons please give a better technical answer?
