OnD asking both really. Had a closer look at the sprockets and if there is wear it is very minimal.
I have not adjusted the chain for a while as it did not seem to be out of spec. I always have it on the loose side. Gonna tighten it up a little and see if that will eliminate the problem. I was concerned that it might be something more sinister. Ever the optamist!!
The noise is coming from the chain area, I am sure it is not coming from the valve train.
