The Givi adaptor plate is a good fit on the standard tiger rack. Its a very common mod. I have done it this way as in my view the givi boxes are much better quality than the standard Triumph ones. I have the Triumph side panniers which came as standard.
An alternaive to fitting Triumph panniers is to get the givi side fitting kit for the Tiger and then fit Givi side panniers. There is then plenty to choose from on Ebay.
Only slight hiccup with going down this route is the exhaust side panniers sticks out a bit. Whereas the standard triumph pannier is moulded to fit around the exhaust. However it does not hold much because of this.
